3a. Google User Data & Google API Services

Sage Companion offers an optional Google Calendar integration. When you choose to connect your Google account, Sage's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What Google Data We Access

We request a single, narrowly scoped permission: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events. This lets Sage view and manage events on the calendars you connect. We do not access your Gmail, contacts, Google Drive files, photos, or any other Google data. The Calendar connection is entirely optional and Sage works fully without it.

How We Use Google Data

We use Google Calendar data only to provide these user-facing features. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it for any purpose you have not enabled.

How We Share & Transfer Google Data

We do not sell Google user data or transfer it to data brokers, advertisers, or any party for advertising. Google Calendar data is stored on our behalf by our infrastructure provider (Supabase) solely to operate the feature. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve the user-facing feature, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition as described above.

Google Data & Artificial Intelligence

We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and we do not transfer Google user data to any third party for the purpose of training their AI/ML models. Any AI processing is limited to providing the personalized, user-facing features described above.

How We Protect Google Data

Retention & Deletion of Google Data

We retain your Google authorization and synced calendar data only while your Calendar connection is active. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from your account settings, which revokes our access and deletes the stored authorization tokens. When you delete your Sage account, all associated Google data is deleted in accordance with the retention and deletion practices described in Section 5. You may also revoke Sage's access directly from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Limited Use: The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
