By accessing or using Sage Companion, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any modifications.

Sage Companion is an AI-powered companion application designed to support seniors in their daily lives. The Service includes the following features:
Sage Companion is available at mysagecompanion.com. The Service is provided on an "as-is" basis.
To use Sage Companion, you must be at least 18 years of age. By registering for an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify Sage Companion immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We recommend that you use a strong password and change it periodically.
Sage Companion offers a 7-day free trial for new users. After the trial period, continued access requires a paid subscription. Two plans are available:
Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe, a secure third-party payment processor. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize Sage Companion LLC to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to your selected subscription period (monthly, annually, or as specified). You agree to keep your payment information current and accurate.
You may cancel your paid subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will be effective at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to paid features through the end of your paid period.
Sage Companion LLC offers pro-rated refunds for paid subscriptions cancelled within 30 days of the initial charge. After 30 days, no refunds will be issued, but you may cancel your subscription to avoid future charges.
To request a refund, please contact our support team at support@mysagecompanion.com with details of your request. Refund requests must be made within 30 days of the charge date.
You agree to use Sage Companion only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe upon the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment of the Service. Prohibited behavior includes:
Sage Companion LLC reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms at any time without notice or refund.
Any health-related information, suggestions, or conversations provided through Sage Companion are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice. The AI companion is not a doctor, nurse, or healthcare provider.

The medication tracking feature is a reminder tool only. Sage Companion does not provide medical advice regarding medications. Always follow the instructions provided by your healthcare provider or pharmacist regarding your medications.
By using Sage Companion, you acknowledge that you understand the limitations of the Service and agree to consult with healthcare professionals for all medical concerns.
All content, features, and functionality of Sage Companion, including the software, design, text, graphics, and code, are the exclusive property of Sage Companion LLC or its content suppliers and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Sage Companion LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your personal use. You may not:
Content you create, upload, or provide through Sage Companion (such as notes, voice recordings, or messages) remains your property. By providing content to Sage Companion, you grant us a license to store, process, and transmit your content for the purpose of providing the Service.

Your account information, conversation history, medication records, doctor visit notes, and calendar entries are stored securely in Supabase, our cloud database provider. Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest.
You may request deletion of your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@mysagecompanion.com. When you delete your account:
If you cancel your subscription but do not delete your account, your data will continue to be stored according to our privacy practices. You may access or download your data at any time before requesting account deletion.
We maintain backups of data for security and recovery purposes. Your data may persist in backup systems for up to 90 days after account deletion, but will not be accessible to you or used for any purpose after that period.
The Service is provided on an "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Sage Companion LLC does not warrant that:
In no event shall Sage Companion LLC's total liability for all claims exceed the total amount you have paid to Sage Companion LLC in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Sage Companion uses third-party services including OpenAI (for AI functionality) and Stripe (for payments). Sage Companion LLC is not responsible for the performance, availability, or practices of these third-party services. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
Sage Companion LLC reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be communicated to users via email or prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of Sage Companion after modifications are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you may request account deletion and discontinue your use of the Service.
You may terminate your account at any time by requesting account deletion through your account settings or by contacting support@mysagecompanion.com.
Sage Companion LLC may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without notice, if you:
Upon termination of your account, all licenses and rights granted to you will immediately cease. Your data will be retained according to our Data Retention & Deletion policy above. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law.
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflicts of law principles.
You agree that any legal action or proceeding relating to these Terms or your use of Sage Companion shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in the State of Illinois, and you irrevocably consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.
